2003
marks the 100th anniversary of powered flight, so it is appropriate
that the cover shows Wilbur Wright, called “Wilburg” on this anonymous
French card. That completes the Pioneer interest this time but the Pioneer group
will rectify this later in the year.
A welcome contribution is from new member from late 2002 Conway Longworth-Dames, whose researches into Croydon publisher C H Price are featured in this issue. We also have another feature from regular contributor Leonardo Pinzauti, and Web-Master Christian Gerbich has a What do you know feature. Continuing the theme of early “publisher” cards both the main article and “Worth a Second Glance” feature the products of real Photographs Ltd of Liverpool, active 1930/50s.
